First approach

Shopping Helper

Relay was an App from Sears who allow you to have a real personal shopper that will help you to buy groceries, recommend new stuff, discover new deals for you and deliver your stuff to your own place.

Back in the time when I was working with Sears involved in the project: Relay App, I was in charge of bring to life the onboarding steps of the app.

First approach

First approach

Our first approach to the onboarding was making 3 simple animated slides that explains the purpose of the app. I was using illustration, parallax and 2D animation.

Run runner, run!

Run runner, run!

The "Runner" was the person who would do the shopping for you. I wanted to represented using the icon from the logo in case we need to use it either in presentations or in the application itself. This animation was made frame by frame drawing each position of the icon.

Landing Prototype

Landing Prototype

In the process of designing the app the team need a real prototype of how the app is going to work when launched. I used the man running that I have shown before.

A Year later

After a year of working with the team, lot of things has changed, many iterations had made evolving everything into the final intro of the App, a more stylish and fashioned approach.
